John Brown

Founder, Chief Advocacy & Strategy Officer

John "Ben" Brown is a distinguished insurance professional based in Little Elm, Texas, with a robust background in claims handling, property restoration, and loss consultation. Ben lives in Little Elm, TX, with his wife, Kylie, 3 children, and a multitude of furry family members. Ben and his family moved to Texas in July 2021, from their beautiful home state of Georgia, and have made Texas their new home for the foreseeable future.

With nearly a decade of experience, Ben has worked on “both sides” of the industry. Ben started as an auto claims adjuster for Safeco, later moving to their National Catastrophe Property team traveling across the country for most of the year. After several years witnessing improper claims handling first-hand, Ben left the carrier side of the industry and became an advocate for policyholders through his ownership of three successful public adjusting firms and an insurance damage restoration firm. His expertise spans residential and commercial property claims alike, and his academic foundation in applied mathematics, statistical analysis, and commercial underwriting complement his professional skillset. 

Currently, John also serves as the Legislative Director for the Texas chapter of the American Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (AAPIA), a reflection of his role as Iron Crow Consulting’s Chief Advocacy and Strategy Officer. His passion for consumer advocacy has significantly impacted the industry, including regulatory complaints which resulted in State Farm paying more than $1.75 million in administrative penalties and restitution to Texas consumers.

Tom Crow

Founder, Chief Financial & Operations Officer

Thomas ‘Tom’ Joseph Crow is a seasoned Public Insurance Adjuster based in Dallas, Texas, where he lives with his wife, Dallas Crow, and 2 pups, Cesar & Nacho. Tom moved to the DFW area in 2018 to pursue a construction management profession, though Texas would have different plans for his long-term future. Tom’s expertise includes insurance claim investigations, sales, information technology, and even a background as the professional chef and owner of an excellent barbeque restaurant.

Before stepping into the insurance field, Tom played a pivotal role at HomeOver General Contractors in Plano, TX, as a Project Manager. There, he honed his skills in assessing storm damage, training other project managers, and overseeing repair projects with remarkable efficiency and profitability. His earlier career includes a stint as an IT Solutions Consultant Contractor at T1 Technologies Inc in Omaha, NE, where he managed IT services for small businesses.

Tom has a degree in Information Technology from Colorado Technical University, as well as an earlier foray into science and mathematics as a biology major at Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota. His diverse skill set, encompassing financial management, sales and training, business networking, and IT implementation, underpins his premiere role as Iron Crow Consulting’s Chief Operations & Financial Officer.

Chase Henton

Chase Henton is an insurance claims professional, residing in Justin, Texas, with his wife, Caitlin, their son, Cayde, another child on the way, and their beloved dog, Miesha. Originally from Kansas, Chase and his family moved here in 2021 in search of new opportunities. In December 2022, he founded Karizma Claims in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, providing comprehensive estimating services to contractors in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina.

In addition to his own entrepreneurial talents, Chase served as a General Manager and Estimator at Hawk 3 Construction in Roanoke, TX, where he honed his abilities to properly assess storm damages, manage large residential and commercial restoration projects, and train others to do the same. In 2023, Chase achieved his Texas Public Adjuster license, and joined the Iron Crow Consulting team as their primary field adjuster.

While young in the industry, Chase’s unyielding passion for self-improvement and growth has allowed him to quickly develop the skills and natural claim insight typically seen only in industry veterans of a decade or more. His entrepreneurial vision, natural charisma, and keen operational foresight are crucial to developing our firm’s vision for the future. His invaluable skillset is why 2024 will be his first year as Iron Crow Consulting’s newest Managing Partner, serving as our Chief Innovation & Marketing Officer.
